THE FOUNDERS
Angelina Lue
Angelina Lue is a senior at Los Altos High School in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a teen in the Silicon Valley, she has developed an appreciation for how social media and technology can be used to make positive change. Prior to Fighting for Heroes, when she was 13, she started a clothing company, Ivory Tees, to save the elephants. She also enjoys teaching and competing in Parliamentary debate, where she met Paulina and Sheryl. In her free time, she loves cooking different cuisines and baked goods every day.
Alicia Yim
Alicia is a senior at Los Altos High school. She was born in the Bay Area and has lived there her whole life. She is passionate about doing what she can to help her community as well as the environment. She loves fashion and aspires to design her own clothing and create a successful clothing brand in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys writing and playing music, traveling, and cooking and baking.
Marie Godderis
Marie is a senior at Los Altos High School. She is originally from Belgium, but has been living in California for over 10 years now. She loves to adventure and is always open to trying new things and loves to stay busy. Marie was awarded the Girl Scout Gold Award and travelled to Uganda, Africa, to teach 600 students about oral hygiene. Photography is Marie’s creative outlet which allows her to express herself through many projects. She enjoys meeting and connecting with others and is always looking for ways to support those around her.
Paulina Harding
Paulina Harding is a senior at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, California. Paulina has always had a passion for all things political and has spent her youth advocating for reform movements. Her love for politics and advocacy brought her to Parliamentary Debate where she met Angelina and Sheryl. Growing up in a bicultural household, she developed an appreciation for understanding different cultures through travel. She spends most her free time outdoors, hiking and fishing or spending time with friends, but she is always content to just curl up with a good book.
Sheryl Chen
Sheryl Chen is a senior at Menlo-Atherton High School, and has lived the Bay Area almost all her life. Outside of school, Sheryl likes to communicate through public speaking and is a member of her school’s Parliamentary debate team, where she has met many lifetime friends. In her spare time, she finds delight in running and watching cartoons. Sheryl’s wish is to be someone that anyone can come up to for help, and wants to spread love and kindness throughout her community and others.
